Travel budgets fail on stale or averaged data. We built TripOverflow so a day-rate is a defensible figure — traceable back to a source and a date — the same way you'd footnote a dependency.
Dated sources
Each guide lists its sources and a lastVerified date, so you know a price is current for the season you're planning — not a number recycled from a decade ago.
[Inferred] is explicit
When a figure is a best-effort estimate rather than a confirmed source, we mark it[inferred]. No silent guesses — you always know the confidence level.
Never averaged
When sources disagree, we present both values side by side instead of burying the conflict in a mean. Honest data over a clean-looking number.
